Kupu-Kupu (butterfly) Garden Guest House & Cafe is an eco-friendly boutique style jungle hotel located near Bukit Lawang in North Sumatra, Indonesia. It is situated in a tranquil location surrounded by lush tropical rainforest with 60 metres of river frontage and a waterfall that flows down one side of the land. In the front is the Bohorok River and opposite is over 1,000,000 hectares of UNESCO world heritage National Park. It is the perfect place to stay to experience the Sumatran orangutan and other wildlife. When you arrive in the Bukit Lawang village walk up the river path for 30 minutes. You will pass by shops, guesthouses, restaurants, waterfalls and soon discover the peacefulness of Kupu-Kupu Garden. From the cafe & guesthouse balconies you will capture views of river life and surrounding tropical rainforest. Laze about in hammocks, swim in the river, indulge in Indonesian food, drink a beer "Bintang". The owner Jeffrey can organise transport, jungle treks and other activities.
